1 Core 1km Drop Cable
This single-core fiber optic drop cable provides 1 km of continuous cable, ideal for FTTH (Fiber to the Home) last-mile connections from the distribution point (such as a fiber access terminal or pole-mounted splitter) to the subscriber premises. The single-mode fiber (G.657.A1 or A2) is engineered for bend insensitivity, allowing tight-radius installation around corners, stapling to building surfaces, and slack storage in small enclosures without significant signal loss. The cable construction includes a steel or FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) strength member that provides tensile strength for aerial or duct pulling while preventing stretch that could stress the fiber. The outer sheath is available in LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) for indoor runs where fire safety is critical, or UV-resistant PE (polyethylene) for outdoor aerial or buried sections. The 1 km length is well-suited for neighborhood distribution where homes are spaced along a road, allowing multiple drop connections from a single reel when used with a mid-span access closure.
- Fiber Count: 1 core

- Construction: Steel (0.5mm galvanized) or FRP (1.0mm) strength member
- Outer Sheath: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen, IEC 60754-2) for indoor, or UV-resistant PE for outdoor
- Cable Dimensions: Flat (2.0 x 3.0mm) or figure-8 (self-supporting with messenger)
- Attenuation: ≤0.35 dB/km @1310nm, ≤0.25 dB/km @1550nm
- Operating Temperature: -20°C to +60°C (indoor), -40°C to +70°C (outdoor PE)
