12 Core ADSS Cable

Direct-buried or duct-rated 12-core fiber optic cable with steel tape armor (ADSS - Double Steel Strip), providing superior mechanical protection for outside plant installations. The corrugated steel tape armor (typically 0.15–0.20mm thickness) protects against rodent gnawing, rock impacts, shovel cuts, and crushing forces encountered during direct burial. The 12 single-mode fibers (G.652.D) are housed in loose tubes (typically 2 tubes of 6 fibers or 3 tubes of 4 fibers) around a central FRP strength member, with water-blocking gel or dry tape to prevent moisture migration. The inner PE sheath encapsulates the core, and the steel tape armor is applied longitudinally with an overlapping seam. An outer black PE sheath provides UV resistance and additional abrasion protection. This cable is suitable for direct burial (no conduit required in most soils), installation in existing ducts, or aerial installation using a separate messenger wire. The crush resistance of ≥4000 N/100mm allows for installation under roads and driveways.
