This two-core fiber optic drop cable provides 1 km of continuous cable, designed for FTTH installations requiring duplex service (separate transmit and receive fibers) or redundant fiber paths for service reliability. The two single-mode fibers (G.657.A1 or A2 bend-insensitive) are typically arranged side-by-side in a flat or figure-8 construction, with each fiber individually colored for easy identification (blue and orange standard). The flat design is lightweight and suitable for indoor/outdoor runs where the cable will be attached to building surfaces or run through conduits. The figure-8 design integrates a steel messenger wire for self-supporting aerial spans up to 50 meters without a separate support strand. The cable includes dual strength members (FRP or steel) to provide balanced tensile strength and prevent preferential bending. The outer sheath is LSZH for indoor or PE for outdoor applications. Ideal for multi-dwelling unit (MDU) drops where two fibers may serve two separate subscribers from one drop, or for business connections requiring full-duplex gigabit service.
