Heavy-duty 24-core steel tape armored cable for buried and high-risk installations requiring extra mechanical protection. This cable is designed for backbone routes that pass through rodent-prone areas (agricultural land, forest edges), rocky terrain, or locations with risk of backhoe or shovel damage. The double steel tape armor (two overlapping layers or one corrugated layer with higher gauge) provides crush resistance of ≥4000 N/100mm and exceptional penetration resistance. The 24 fibers are arranged in 4 loose tubes of 6 fibers each, with water-blocking flooding compound completely filling each tube and the interstices between tubes. This "fully flooded" construction prevents any moisture ingress path, ensuring long-term reliability even if the outer sheath is compromised. The cable is suitable for direct burial without conduit, installation in congested ducts, or pulling through existing innerduct. Each reel is factory-tested for attenuation and optical continuity, with test data provided.
