Dome or inline splice enclosure for up to 24 fiber cores, suitable for aerial, buried, and manhole installations. This medium-capacity enclosure accommodates 2 splice trays of 12 splices each, allowing organized splicing for feeder cables branching to distribution cables. The inline design (cylindrical) is preferred for strand-mounting (aerial) where the enclosure hangs in line with the cable; the dome design is more common for pedestal or below-grade use. The enclosure includes 4 round or oval cable ports with grommets or heat-shrink tubes to accommodate cables from 8mm to 25mm diameter. The polypropylene or ABS construction provides high impact resistance and UV stability. The sealing method is typically heat-shrink for permanent watertight installations, or gel-based for re-enterable applications. Inside, fiber management includes radius limiters to ensure bend radii >30mm, splice tray covers, and identification labels. The 24-core size is popular for distribution network splice points where a 12-core feeder cable is spliced to two 12-core branch cables or where a 24-core backbone is broken out to multiple drop cables.
