Four-core fiber optic drop cable, 1 km length, designed for multi-dwelling unit (MDU) connections, small business installations, and campus distribution where four fibers are required to serve multiple subscribers or provide service diversity. The four single-mode fibers (G.652.D or G.657.A1) are individually colored (blue, orange, green, brown per TIA-598) for easy identification during splicing and termination. The cable is constructed with dual FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) strength members positioned on opposite sides of the fiber bundle, providing balanced tensile strength and preventing cable twist during pulling. The compact design (typically 5–7mm diameter) is suitable for installation in existing conduits, along building exteriors, or lashed to messenger wires. The outer sheath is available in black (UV-resistant PE for outdoor) or white (LSZH for indoor riser applications). The 1 km length is well-suited for distribution from a central point to multiple buildings within a campus or to serve an apartment building with up to 4 subscribers (using 1:4 splitters at the serving terminal).
