Extended-length four-core fiber optic drop cable, 2 km continuous length, designed for campus networks, long-reach distribution, and rural broadband feeder routes. The longer length allows network operators to extend from a central office or headend to a remote distribution hub without intermediate splicing, reducing installation time and potential failure points. The four single-mode fibers (G.652.D or G.657.A1) are suitable for PON (passive optical network) applications where a single fiber can serve up to 64 subscribers via splitters; the additional fibers provide redundancy or future capacity. The cable incorporates dry water-blocking tape (superabsorbent polymer yarns) that swells upon water contact to block moisture migration, eliminating the mess of flooding compounds while providing reliable protection. The UV-resistant PE sheath is formulated for long-term outdoor exposure, with anti-UV additives and a smooth surface for reduced pulling friction. Operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C ensures performance in all climates.
