48 Core Enclosures

Medium-capacity dome or inline splice enclosure for up to 48 fibers, designed for feeder cable splicing and distribution hub applications. With 4 splice trays (each holding 12 splices), this enclosure can accommodate splicing a 48-core feeder cable to multiple 12-core distribution cables, or joining two 24-core cables, with additional slack storage. The enclosure features 4–6 cable entry ports with reinforced sealing grommets or heat-shrink boots, accommodating cables up to 30mm in diameter. The UV-stabilized polymer construction is rated for 40+ years of outdoor exposure and offers excellent impact resistance in aerial or buried environments. The IP68 dust-tight and watertight rating ensures reliability in flooded manholes or direct burial. Inside, splice trays are arranged in a stack with individual covers, and fiber routing paths are color-coded to reduce splicing errors. The base plate includes grounding points for metallic cable components. This enclosure is commonly used in central offices, outside plant cabinets, and large pedestals.
