Extended-length six-core fiber optic drop cable, 2 km length, designed for backbone drops and high-capacity distribution in campus networks, rural broadband, and small metro deployments. The longer length allows for single-pull installation from a central office to a remote cabinet or from a fiber hut to a distant distribution point, eliminating splices and associated loss. The six single-mode fibers (G.652.D or G.657.A1) provide capacity for multiple PON services, dedicated enterprise connections, or protection switching. The cable is available with optional corrugated steel tape armor, which provides exceptional rodent resistance (critical for buried installations in rural or wooded areas) and crush protection for direct burial without conduit. The tensile load rating of 600 N (long term) and 1,500 N (short term) allows for mechanical pulling over moderate distances. Water-blocking is achieved via dry tape and swellable yarns, simplifying preparation for splicing. Each reel is tested for attenuation and continuity before shipment, with test results provided.
