This compact 8-core All-Dielectric Self-Supporting (ADSS) cable is designed for aerial installation on utility poles and power line corridors without any metallic components. The all-dielectric construction eliminates the risk of induced currents from adjacent power lines, making it safe for installation on the same structures as high-voltage transmission lines. The cable is reinforced with aramid yarn strength members (Kevlar-type fibers) that provide high tensile strength while keeping the cable lightweight and flexible. The 8 fibers are typically arranged in a loose tube construction with water-blocking gel or dry tape. The outer PE sheath is UV-stabilized and formulated for resistance to tracking (electrical surface discharge) for voltages up to 110 kV. This mini ADSS cable is designed for span lengths up to 100 meters between poles, making it ideal for distribution-level aerial plant, rural broadband, and utility-owned fiber networks (OPGW alternative). The compact diameter (typically 8–10mm) reduces wind loading and ice accumulation.
