Ultra-high-density 96-core steel tape armored cable for major backbone routes, data center interconnects, and high-capacity metropolitan networks. This cable supports 96 single-mode fibers (G.652.D or G.657.A1) in a compact loose tube design, typically using 12 tubes of 8 fibers each. The double steel tape armor (two overlapping corrugated layers) provides the highest level of mechanical protection—resistant to severe rodent attack, rock impacts, and heavy construction equipment. The cable is fully flooded with water-blocking compound, ensuring that no moisture can migrate through the core even if the sheath and armor are breached. Despite the high fiber count, the cable remains manageable with a diameter of approximately 18–22mm, suitable for installation in 2-inch (50mm) or larger ducts. The cable is designed for long-term outdoor service with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C. Each fiber is individually tested for attenuation (≤0.35 dB/km at 1310nm, ≤0.25 dB/km at 1550nm) and each reel is certified for continuity and optical performance.
