Direct Attach Copper (DAC) cable, 10G SFP+, length 1 meter. This passive twinax cable assembly has SFP+ connectors on both ends and provides a low-cost, low-latency connection for short-range (up to 5m passive) rack-to-rack or switch-to-server links. The cable uses twinaxial copper with 30 AWG wire, impedance matched to 100 ohms. No active electronics are required — the cable is completely passive, consuming near-zero power and adding zero latency. It is ideal for connecting switches within the same rack or adjacent racks, and for server top-of-rack switching. The cable is compliant with SFF-8431 and supports 10G Ethernet (10GBASE-CU) and other 10G protocols. It is more economical and lower power than optical transceivers for short links.
