Big J Hooks

These large J-shaped cable hooks are designed for high-capacity cable bundling on utility poles, large cable trays, and heavy infrastructure projects. The heavy-gauge construction (typically 4–6mm steel rod or stamped sheet steel) supports up to 8–15 medium-diameter cables (such as 12mm drop cables) or a single large-diameter cable up to 30mm (such as feeder coax or fiber backbone cable). The locking gate closure—a spring-loaded latch with positive stop—prevents cable fallout due to wind, vibration, or accidental bumping. Mounting options include pole straps (for attachment to wooden or concrete poles without drilling), bolt-through (for strut channels and racks), or direct weld-on (for custom fabrications). The big J hook is commonly used in FTTH distribution where multiple drop cables leave a terminal and route down a pole, in data center overhead cable trays, and in utility substations for control cable management. The hot-dip galvanized finish provides long-term corrosion protection in outdoor environments.
