PA 2000 Tension Clamps
Engineered for extreme-span aerial installations, the PA 2000 tension clamp supports a 2,000 kg working load, suitable for river crossings (1 km+ spans), deep valleys, mountainous terrain, and high-wind coastal zones. The quad-bolt tension distribution system uses four compression bolts arranged symmetrically around the cable to apply uniform radial force, preventing ovalization of fiber tubes and reducing the risk of microbending losses. The heavy-duty galvanized steel body features reinforced ribs and thickened walls to resist deformation under maximum load. Neoprene grip liners are pre-molded with a precision groove pattern that matches the cable's outer sheath, maximizing friction without excessive compression. The PA 2000 is also used for steel messenger wire dead-ends on long-span distribution lines and for anchoring submarine cable landings where cable enters underground duct. Installation requires a torque wrench to ensure even bolt tightening across all four fasteners.
- Working Load: 2,000 kg (4,409 lbs) — suitable for extreme-span applications
- Cable Diameter: 12–22 mm (fits large ADSS, OPGW, and solid messenger wires)
- Material: Heavy-duty galvanized steel (hot-dip, 120 µm minimum coating), 5–6mm base thickness
- Quad-bolt tension distribution: 4x M16 bolts with integrated torque indicators
- Includes: Neoprene grip liners (20mm thickness, pre-contoured) — replacements available
- Design Features: Reinforced ribs, anti-rotation tabs, captive hardware
- Application: River crossings (up to 1.5 km), mountain spans, high-wind zones (over 150 km/h)
- Installation Torque: 60 N·m (maximum), applied in star pattern
