Visual fault locator (VFL) with built-in rechargeable lithium battery, offering the same fault-finding capability as standard VFLs but with USB-C charging for field convenience. The 10–30 mW output power (class 3R or 3B) provides a very bright red beam (650nm) that is visible through most fiber jackets even in daylight, with a range of 10–20 km of fiber (visible leakage detectable near faults). The rechargeable design eliminates the need for AAA batteries and reduces operating cost for frequent users. The pen body includes a battery level indicator (LED), continuous and blinking modes, and a universal 2.5mm connector interface (SC, FC, ST adapters included). The laser is safety-interlocked to prevent accidental activation in the pocket (requires a two-second press to turn on). The USB-C charging port is located under a weather-sealed cover (IP54 rated when closed). This VFL is the preferred choice for professional technicians who use the tool daily.
