Cat6 indoor UTP cable is designed for high-performance 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet) and limited 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit over shorter distances) installations. It features 4 unshielded twisted pairs of 23 AWG solid bare copper conductors, providing improved signal-to-noise ratio and reduced crosstalk compared to Cat5e. The cable includes a central cross separator (spline) that physically separates the four pairs, drastically reducing alien crosstalk (AXT) and near-end crosstalk (NEXT). The PVC riser-rated jacket (CMR) is suitable for vertical runs between floors (riser spaces) and general indoor use. The cable bandwidth is rated at 250 MHz, with support for up to 100 meters for Gigabit Ethernet and up to 55 meters for 10-Gigabit (when using Cat6a components). This cable is ideal for new commercial installations, data centers, and high-bandwidth residential networks.
