Cat6 RJ45 metallic connectors, also known as shielded or STP (shielded twisted pair) connectors, feature a zinc alloy or nickel-plated brass housing that provides 360° continuous shielding protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). These connectors are essential for installations in high-noise environments such as industrial facilities, data centers with dense cable runs, near heavy electrical equipment, or outdoor applications exposed to lightning-induced surges. The metallic housing connects to the cable's drain wire or foil shield, creating a continuous ground path from the cable shield through the connector to the shielded patch panel or grounded equipment port. The connector includes a separate load bar for staggered pin alignment and a strain relief boot that also covers the shield termination. Gold-plated (50 micro-inch) contacts ensure corrosion resistance and reliable connectivity. Suitable for 23-24 AWG solid or stranded shielded Cat6 cable with an outer diameter of 6.0-7.5mm. Fully compliant with TIA/EIA-568-C.2 and ISO/IEC 11801 Class E.
