The Ubiquiti AirFiber AF-60 is a 60GHz point-to-point radio delivering up to 1.4 Gbps throughput over distances up to 1 km (using 60GHz alone) with a 5GHz failover radio. It leverages the unlicensed 60GHz V-band (57-64GHz) which offers virtually interference-free operation but is susceptible to atmospheric absorption (oxygen absorption) — limiting range but ensuring reliable, high-capacity links in crowded RF environments. The AF-60 includes an integrated 20dBi antenna, a dedicated 5GHz 2x2 MIMO radio (up to 867 Mbps) for failover and management, and a 2.5GbE Ethernet port. The unit is weather-resistant (IP67) and includes a pole-mount kit. Managed via airOS web interface or UNMS, it offers spectral analysis, alignment tools, and advanced security. Ideal for short-range, high-capacity backhaul links between buildings, across streets, or within campuses.
