The Ubiquiti PowerBeam M5 PBE-M5-400 is a 5GHz airMAX M-series point-to-point bridge featuring a 400mm (16-inch) dish with 29dBi gain for ultra-long-distance links. It delivers real TCP/IP throughput of up to 150 Mbps (airMAX M series) over distances up to 30+ km (line-of-sight). The large dish provides a very narrow beamwidth (approx. 5°), minimizing interference and maximizing signal strength over extreme distances. The PBE-M5-400 includes a Gigabit Ethernet port with 24V passive PoE and is managed via airOS M web interface. It features airMAX TDMA protocol, spectrum analysis, and advanced alignment tools. This model is ideal for WISP long-haul backhaul, rural internet distribution, and links where maximum gain is required. Note that the M series is older technology; for higher throughput, consider AC Gen2 models.
