The Ubiquiti NanoStation M2 (NSM2) is a 2.4GHz airMAX M-series CPE with a higher-gain integrated antenna (10dBi) than the Loco version, providing longer range and better signal strength. It delivers real TCP/IP throughput of up to 150 Mbps and includes one Fast Ethernet port with 24V passive PoE. The NSM2 is larger than the Loco model but offers improved RF performance, making it suitable for longer-range PtP links (up to 5 km) or as a PtMP client in WISP networks. The 2.4GHz band provides better penetration through obstacles but is more susceptible to interference. Managed via airOS M web interface or UNMS. Ideal for rural WISP deployments, short to medium-range links requiring 2.4GHz, and applications where higher gain is needed than the Loco M2 provides.
